This is ShelfLaunchPune's standard distributor margin — charged on every unit sold through our network. Industry-typical for FMCG distribution in India.

Retailer Margin
25% of MRP

Our recommended retailer margin. Unknown brands typically need to offer at least this to get stocked — it's the market standard, and we price accordingly so your brand gets taken seriously.

No upfront fees to get started. You pay our 15% distributor margin only on units sold, plus the ₹15k monthly salesman fee. Budget ~25% retailer margin on top — that's industry standard for new brands getting shelf space, and it's what makes retailers say yes.

We focus on packaged food products — snacks, beverages, condiments, ready-to-eat, specialty foods, and similar categories. Products need proper labelling and FSSAI registration. We evaluate each brand individually, so reach out even if you're unsure.
We charge 15% of MRP on every unit sold — this is our standard distributor margin, in line with what FMCG distributors typically charge in India. If your product's MRP is ₹100 and 50 units sell, we bill ₹750. The retailer's margin is separate (see below).
A dedicated salesman who physically visits stores, pitches your product to shopkeepers, ensures placement is maintained, handles replenishment, and reports back on feedback. Think of it as a part-time sales rep for your brand, billed at end of each month.
We recommend budgeting 25% of MRP as retailer margin. This isn't arbitrary — unknown brands typically can't get stocked for less. Retailers take a risk on unfamiliar products, and a 25% margin is what makes them say yes. Factor this into your MRP when pricing your product.
Not at all. ShelfLaunchPune is built for early-stage and homegrown brands taking their first step into retail. If you've been selling online, at markets, or even just to friends and family — that's enough. Product quality, packaging, and FSSAI compliance are what matter.
Once approved and onboarding paperwork is done, we typically get your product into the first stores within 2–3 weeks. We start with a subset of stores best suited to your category, then expand based on initial sell-through.
Yes. There's no long-term lock-in. We work on a rolling monthly arrangement for the salesman fee. If you want to pause or exit, give us notice and we'll coordinate a clean offboarding. We'd rather you grow with us than feel trapped.
